ABOUT WAMIRU
A different way to see Japan. And the world.
The most memorable discoveries often happen beyond the guidebooks, the famous landmarks, and the places everyone already knows.
A small neighborhood restaurant. An unexpected product on a supermarket shelf. A conversation with someone local. Sometimes, these simple moments change the way we see a place.
That's the idea behind WAMIRU.
Our name brings together two Japanese ideas: WA, meaning harmony, connection, and the circle that brings people together, and MIRU, meaning “to see.”
We believe that seeing things from a different perspective can bring Japan and the world closer.
